cultivating a healthy food system

L Studio worked with CUESA to make the organization more visible and communicate its mission to the public. CUESA works to create a sustainable food system through education and direct marketing between consumers and farmers. This mission is enacted at San Francisco’s famed Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, which is operated by CUESA.

L Studio created a brand that elevates CUESA’s identity so that it could be applied on its own or in conjunction with the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market brand, clarifying the relationship between sponsor organization and market. L Studio recommended a departure from CUESA’s original tagline (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) in favor of a more active tag: Cultivating a Healthy Food System. As an extension of the mark, we created a style guide with recommendations for a fresh series of on-site graphics, posters, social media avatars and ad campaigns.
