lodge at the golden gate

L Studio worked for Passport Resorts, together with our design partner i4Design, to develop brand, messaging and collateral for Cavallo Point, The Lodge at the Golden Gate. Located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands, this unique hotel and retreat center joins its place among other great lodges of the National Parks, occupying a graceful mix of historic and contemporary buildings on this former Military Post. Programs and communications focus on wellness and the arts under a roof of sustainable operations.

The Cavallo Point branding effort was informed by L Studio’s previous work in the planning of Fort Baker, where we teamed with Passport Resorts and its public and non-profit partners (the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy) to develop positioning strategy for the Conservancy’s Institute on Sustainability, as well as an informational website about Fort Baker.

logo and symbology

Cavallo Point’s logo was created from 4 original pictograms that symbolize the purpose and activities of the Lodge: nature, culture, nurture, and adventure.
