Join the L Studio team!

The project coordinator will work as an integral part of the L Studio team to guide projects from start to finish. They will participate on all jobs at a high level together with the studio’s creative director and creative project lead to help shape strategy and design direction on projects and manage project implementation and workflow in the studio.

The project coordinator enjoys making things happen by providing the information and resources needed for creative teams to work effectively and helping to maintain excellence in communication and interaction with clients. Project Coordinator will be involved in all levels of the design process and gain experience in helping run a small design studio. He or she will learn from seasoned professionals and work along side other creative talent.

Candidates should have design skills as well as be interested in the bigger picture of communications strategy, particularly relative to sustainability in land use.


- Meeting with clients and coordinating with internal project teams
- Keeping track of project schedules, scope and deadlines (Google Cal, other client-facing schedules)
- Conducting market research and visual research to inform positioning strategy and design concepts
- Preparing presentations using InDesign on findings from early discovery phases and recommendations for design criteria and concept direction
- Coordinating client meetings (in-person, phone and web meetings)
- Requesting and receiving content and raw materials from clients. Organizing and tracking files and fielding to production team.
- Keeping track of required changes to designs and deliverables at various stages of development, field changes to design / production team, confirm and review changes when complete
- Proofing and quality assurance for client materials and deliverables
- Providing support in business development and writing project proposals.
- Coordinating print production, price quotes from vendors, and formatting of pricing information for client review / approval
- Assisting the team with social media strategies and implementation for client projects and studio promotions

Required skills:

- Adobe CS5 and 6 (with emphasis on InDesign, illustrator, Photoshop and Bridge)
- Basic knowledge of print and digital production
- Facility with MS Office: Word, PPT, and Excel
- Familiarity with WordPress interface (for updating blog and website)
- Facebook and Twitter user with familiarity and interest in the changing social media landscape
