…Quantify it!

That’s not how the song lyric goes, and it’s not a given for most of us to think about happiness as a measurable, tractable metric like our heart rate or a nation’s Gross Domestic Product. But now happiness is something that social scientists and economists are looking to measure and record. The latest issue of the Harvard Business Review argues that experts should treat happiness in the same way as economic indicators because, “What get’s measured gets managed.”
